I've a rather 'large' spider in my living room called Boris...he only comes out at night from the disused fireplace to scare the pants off me - belive me he's big!!!

Yep Beekeeper that's what it is, Crane fly/Daddy long legs etc - Tipula oleracea
Still lacking a confirmation on the large bee, the size of it I wandered if it were a Queen.

Found the bathroom Tegenaria all scrunched up, its legs forming a perfect defensive circle around its body........... but to no avail. Light as a feathered, it'd been sucked dry. A victim of the Mouse Spider i'd think!
Still looking for the large Bumble id, think it's B. Terrestris........ but the patterns and colouring are so variable, it's not easy to be sure.
