Wasp Spider
I spotted this spider on Crayford Marshes in Kent. There wer others about but this was by far the largest measuring 55mm from the tip of its front legs to the tip of the back legs. A very impressive beastie!

Great photos! Saw a few of these last weekend in Richmond Park + Tower Hamlets Cemetery.

Thanks for your reply. I was actually looking for grass snakes (unsuccessfully as usual) to photograph when I spotted this spider.
