please tell me what this is.
found these whilst building a treehouse in colyn st aldwyns.

Help with identification will be appreciated.

Hi nkwlow, welcome to WAB.

Nice find there! It's a Wood Wasp, Urocerus gigas. The 'sting' on the tail end is the female ovipositor, the larva feed on rotting wood.
