Beetle infestation - id help please!

My house has recently become infested with the beetle pictured below - can anyone help with identification? Its about 3mm long

It looks like the Common Furniture Beetle (Anobium punctatum in Latin). The larval stage is known as woodworm. I don't know too much about eradication, though I recently read this Common furniture beetle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Doesn't look quite right for Anobium punctatum to me, although it could just be the photo

I think you're right, in that it doesn't look right. They're usually bigger than 3mm, so I'll throw this ID ball back into your court

EDIT: See what you think this is Charlie, et al. It may be the same as Tay's.

...it shows the legs and antennae quite well.

Comparing to some more pictures I think that Stegobium paniceum seems to be the most likely match to mine - all I have to do now is figure out where they are coming from!

Hi Tay,

It is a pest of stored products. Last lot I found a good few years ago was in a student flat I shared. It was in a plastic bag of curry powder. We were living in Birmingham - the balti capital. Check your stored foods.
