Southern or Common Hawker

Please could anyone say if this is a Southern or Common Hawker. I want it to be a Common but my gut feeling says it's a Southern.

The colouration on the thorax, yellow costa and markings at the tip of the abdomen confirm its not a southern or migrant. Always great when you get a new species well done roger.

I was desperately hoping Common as I knew they frequent the area but thought with my luck it's got to be a Southern.

After deliberation I'd go with Common too. Well done Ollie, nice find! Not so common either!

These were my best three Roger of an excellent, if tiring day.

Top one is a Common Hawker, the bottom two are southern hawkers.

Nice one Ben you got a Common as well. Definitely a tiring but excellent day. My old bones are still aching
