| | | Help identifying large fly please - mesembrina? Spotted at Aston Rowant nature reserve (Bucks). The body was around 7-10mm in diameter. I looked at mesembrina but the furry yellow area behind the eyes does not seem to fit. Any ideas please?
Thanks

Noticed my first specimen about 2 weeks ago and since then I have seen a couple more. |
