| | | Help In ID Please Can someone help in the Id of this beauty please ,I could not believe my eyes it was about 1" long and 1/2" wide some size there are quite a few on the buddleiha 
just starting out on insects and butterflys so maybe back again to tests all your brains if I cannot find in the books

It is entirely true that queens are about in the early spring, but they are also about at the end of the season when the new generation of queens is produced. What you have found is a pre-hibernation queen, that is likely to hibernate this coming winter. |

| | | Re: Help In ID Please thanks for the info eucera still getting my head around this stuff so by what you are saying you reckon that was a new queen,if this is the case I had quite a few around the garden today as ther must have been about 4 maybe 6 of them anyway thanks again for the help
