Wasp help please

When taking this series of shots in South Notts I thought I had a better view of the face.
I cannot even decide for certain if it is a Vespula or a Dolichovespula!
My working id is Dolichovespula saxonica.

Any comments please.

It is certainly a Dolichovespula, and it clearly isn't D. media or D. norwegica. Unfortunately, I can't see the centre of the clypeus fully, but pic 3 appears to show it as almost entirely yellow. This would suggest that this might be a male D. sylvestris.

I do have blurred shot showing a little more of the face / clypeus - I should have had paid more attention to it as it there is only a small black smudge at the centre of the clypeus.
