Is this a Musk Beetle?

Hi everyone. Can anyone confirm or otherwise ths beautiful beetle for me. He was sitting on an umberella at a riverside cafe I would say he was 2" plus in length including his antenna. Musk beetle?

Yes these are very attractive beetles, often found around willow's. Which are often associated with rivers.

While your here Dogghound I`m keeping a record of what I`ve seen. I have this down as a musk beetle as well, was I right?

No this is a female Oedemera nobilis .

They do look very similar but a smaller beetle, with slender wing cases and less impressive antennae.

We have a photo of the male Oedemera nobilis, but didn`t put the 2 together We call him Green nobby beetle Thanks for your help
