Could this be an elderly Andrena haemorrhoa?

In my S. Devon garden, a couple of days ago.

Not sure of ID here. I'm thinking about a rather elderly and tired male Andrena haemorrhoa.



Any ideas?

Its a Megachile of some sort. Andrena haemorrhoa is an Spring insect, and flies from March to very early June

Thanks for that. I was thinking that it is getting a bit late now but I did see them here during the Spring so wondered if one might still be hanging on due to the strange summer weather this year.

Now you mentioned Megachile and I had another look at the abdomen I see what you mean. But a poor angle for ID so Megachile sp. it is.
