So here is the deal, at a local school they have a meadow that they are thinking of getting rid of. To help ensure that they don’t we have been trying to identify the biodiversity found there. So far we have identified 43 species but need a little help with some of these. Please help!

1) This caterpillar was eating apple leaves. It was very small, almost too small to see. Its legs were at the very front and at the very back. It was on its own.

This orange legged beetle was under a log. Was about 1.5cm long. It didn't like the light. There were several of them. Matt finish.

3) A hard one! This tiny thing was 2mm maximum!

4) Again under a log. By itself. Gloss finish.

5) Not as big as the photo makes out. Maybe 7mm. I thought maybe a young Longhorn?

6) Female lesser marsh grasshopper?

7) Common field grasshopper?
Any help will contribute to saving this wild place!
