Unidentified Ladybird

If I've learnt anything from being a 'young' member of WAB, it's that this is not "just" a ladybird is it?

I found him/her on my lounge carpet this week - hence the carpet fibres on the back. The real challenge could be (ha ha) is it a him or her - only joking!!

Any help gratefully received. Heather

The more common succinea form. I suspect a female because of the well marked 'keel' at the rear of the elytra. Was it quite large?

PS: there is no such thing as 'just a ladybird'!

Yes, it was quite large, Paul. I didn't have my wits about me when I posted - I was thinking of a certain advert i.e. "not just a .."
but couldn't think of anything witty :-) Thanks for that. Heather
