| | [ID] Deltocephaline leafhopper - please! Hi all,
I could really do with some help with this chunky leafhopper... 20/07/2009 Possibly a deltocephaline leafhopper... ...absolutely no idea which.
I've looked at a few genera, but I have no idea apart from it being in the Deltacephaline sub-family, perhaps. I've looked at wing venation, but I still can't decide upon anything firmly.
Please help!
Take care,
Jason

| | | Re: [ID] Deltocephaline leafhopper - please! Hi Joe,
I found it in medium/long grassland. Thanks for the ID! EDIT: I've just noticed there isn't a page for P. nodosus on that site. Feel free to use my photograph if you wish, should a page be made.

| | | Re: [ID] Deltocephaline leafhopper - please! Thanks, Jason! The problem is, without having the thing to dissect and confirm the ID, we really can't use it on the Site of Doom. This is part of what we're trying to achieve - it's hard to know what's what from the descriptions in the handbooks and elsewhere - some say the patterning is useful, and others say not. With cases like this it's only by confirming the IDs rigorously that we can provide something in any way reliable! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
