Black bug, possibly juvenile for ID

This rather poor photo was sent from a friend who lives in the Aldershot area.

I did see something similar here, S. Devon, recently although the spotting on my bug was more red, but couldn't find a camera angle/focus before it ran off into the undergrowth.

I think I should know this answer but just can't think of it now. So any ideas would be appreciated.

Its a Harlequin ladybird larvae.

Harlequin ladybirds are, at the moment, very rare where I live and I have yet to see one.

Strangely i saw thousands where i work last year,this year havnt seen one.Maybe its still early ? or maybe they did not like our frosts as we have had mild winters before and they are fairly recent imports
