And small white with lesser pronounced markings.
large white is about 16mm bigger in wingspan than the small white.

I am always frustrated by whites, sometimes larges are very apparent in flight, with the dark markings and a brighter white than the smalls, but often whites are neither large or small: Green-veined are common in my area. I can only tell from close inspection once they alight (which is not often, as they seem to be very fussy butterflies!).
