| | | Heavy lunch... bumblebee Saw these two in my garden yesterday. We were just wondering if a bumblebee normal prey for this little spider. It seems a bit on the large size? Could the spider capture it on its own or would the bee need to be dead/debilitated first?
thanks in advance, Ashe. |

| | | Re: Heavy lunch... bumblebee Spiders are very good at punching way above their weight and they do not consume dead prey, unless they have killed it. Because of this, I would say that yes, it dragging a big tea home, and yes it did kill it. The pic is a little short on ID points, but I think it could be Enoplognatha ovata, and they do fight hard.
