maybe Agrilus angustulus AKA the Oak Borer Beetle.

I have been trying to work out the id of this beetle for a couple of days.



The best I can do is a click beetle in the family Buprestidae called Agrilus angustulus AKA the Oak Borer Beetle.

I will have to go back and check but I can only think of Willow near to where this was taken.

I am not even sure that this is a UK species.

It Looks like Agrilus sinuatus a species associated with hawthorn.
