unknown blue bug with yellow spots
Hi, I found a bug in the garden today and I cant work out what it is. It was about 10mm long, blue with yellow spots.


Anyone know what it is?

Hi A, welcome to WAB.

Your gardenbug is the larva of a 7-spot ladybird, it should be about to pupate. I have had some which have already finished pupating and are now fully developed ladybirds.

It looks like it has just 'relieved' itself! There is also a cobweb beneath it too by the looks, I would take a look tomorrow to see if it's OK and not tangled in that.
