Hopefully, some confirmation of my guesses  - first Leucozona glaucia? 
Second, Drone fly, Eristalis tenax?

I would agree with the first image and say possible for the second but the image lacks clear detail so I wouldn't advise betting your house on that answer.
Definitely Eristalis (Drone Fly) but to my eye, the body looks a bit long and tapering so it might be E. pertinax instead. They are very similar and both occur in many colourations so a clearer leg shot would help. |

Agree with #1, a female, nice find as I haven't seen one yet!
#2 is Eristalis pertinax, as Geoff says tapering tail but I can see the yellow section on the hind tibia.
