All photos taken today in Hull. I thought the wasp was a hornet, but the abdomen markings are different (found squished on the pavement!)
The bee looked like Megachile.

1. is a sawfly, Cimbex type of thing

Thank you eucera. I have checked and Coelioxys is a Megachile nest parasite. Are they species specific?
