| | | Robber Fly for ID help please When I first saw this creature I thought it might be one of the Empis family, but a closer examination of the photos makes me think a robber fly is more likely. Looks a bit like one of the Dioctria species but I am a bit out of my depth with these flies. 
So can anybody save me from hours of searching and point me in the correct direction? |

Yet another strange creature from those S. Devon woods.
