Can some one ID these please.

3 Lesser Marsh Grasshopper I think

1. The keels don't look right for Field.

2. I agree green Common green
3. I agree Lesser Marsh Grasshopper

I assume 3 is a female LM, because of the costal bulge?

these are difficult? I'm not an expert but figured i'd throw my ideas in just to confuse things.

I'm going with aeshna on the 1 & 2, Field & Common Green.

3 I'm wondering about meadow? It doesnt seem quite right for marsh.

The consensus seems to be :-
1. Field (split vote)
2. Common Green (definitely)
3. Lesser Marsh (slight doubt)

Anyone else got any ideas ??

Hi there,

Possibly on your original photo you might see the presence or absence of a "costal bulge" (see Guy's guide). Field has one. Common Green does not. The keels are definitely more Common Green now I have my book in front of me. And the underside of the thorax does not appear to be "densely hairy". So I'm going with Dan's suggestion of Common Green atm.

It's difficult to see on the original as well. And I'm afraid the 'hopper didn't give any opportunity to get better shots of it.
