What are these pupae?

I've come across lots of these on a Chilean Potato plant that's growing in my garden. I didn't get pictures of when it was still crawling, in which they looked like ladybird larvae. By the way, there are loads on the plant, which must be 9 feet tall.

I think they could be 2 spot ladybirds, as they are also on the plant, but any confirmation would be gratefully received.

And as you'll see, macro isn't my strong point
