This was taken in the roof of my greenhouse, it was on large sized bubble wrap, sorry it appears as a sillouette.

It's a parasitoid wasp - as far as I go althouh someone else may do better. The main thing is that it is likely to be killing other insects, such as aphids, and therefore likely to be a useful ally!

Thanks Paul,looked through my reference book and couldn't find anything like it. The thing appearing to come from the middle of the back threw me.

Gasteruption sp. are similar but I've never managed to ID them with any certainty.
