| | | irish beastie evening!
i was visiting my folks today in bangor, co. down + came across a insect darting in+ out of flowers my parents have growing up the side of their garage. it was an inch long, seemed to have a single set of wings + the body was grey/brown for 2/3 of its length, the remainder being black with white patches. it flew in + out of the flowers although didn't actually land on any. i honestly haven't seen anything like it + haven't been able to id it on any wildlife sites.
i do have a (slightly blurred) photo of it, but i understand that under forum rules i can't post it.
any ideas? many thanks. |
