| | | Fly For Id I am not sure if this is a hoverfly as I didn't see it fly and it had no black bands around its body.
I looked in the Gallery and saw a similiar fly but it had a black band.

| | | Re: Fly For Id It's Merodon equestris var. equestris I think, whatever it's Merodon equestris. I think the subspecies is determined by the colour of the thorax collar but not certain.
