Bee for id. Is this Megachile ?

I have had a good look at the pics again and checked out to see if I can see the characters I use to distinguish these 2 species. The mandible seems to be uniformly dark (as in M. willughbiella) and without orange markings (a M. maritima character).

The secondary and tertiary characters are not visible. In M. maritima, the anteroventral margin of the fore basitarsus has a deep semicircular excavation, whereas in M. willughbiella, the concavity is shallow.

That's interesting Stuart! Could you look at my pic of the female's face, it enlarges more or I have an even closer pic if wished but there are orange marks near the bottom of the cutting edges of the mandibles.
