It is a Dolichopus species. | Thanks Laurence. I see what you mean. Does this mean that it is Dolichopus popularis? The wings are clear and the body shape/colours are much the same.

I am no expert, in fact I am a rank beginner in the ID stakes. Do you have an image to help?
