I came across this wonderful looking nymph today and i'm hoping someone will give me the Id.
It was around 2-3mm and found on a Japanese Maple.

The markings are stunning on this nymph i agree.
Did you post any images of the one you captured? If you did i'd love to see one.
I still havn't found time to photograph a ruler to obtain an accurate measurement of these nymphs so in your opinion would you say i had the size right?

I think i prefer the nymphs to the adults, they seem to have far more colour than the adults, though realistically i've probably only seen a very small amount of these insects, more to come i hope
