| | British "gnat" ID required please Request some idea on what species the following little gnats/mosquitoes that are taking blood feeds from me and my fellow bowls club fellows at evening time. The gnats / mosquitoes are 1.4mm long and have a distinctive 3 dark horizontal bars on its wings when they are folded and a dark long thin abdomin. Red welds still visible 5 days after being bit.
Any ideas on what species this might be? Your help is much appreciated.
