| | | Another insect for help please Insects of Britain and Western Europe steers me to the Leaf Beetle - Lochmaea caprea although the black head on this beetle does not fit. The one in the photo is red.
I am new to using the book and probably making mistakes in its use. Your comments are welcome as well as help in the ID

I cannot find any reference to Neocrepidodera transversa in the book. I have trawled the web and the image I found was a bronze colour. The body shape is right as is a uniform colour. Why did you plump for Neocrepidodera transversa. I am interested as I am trying to learn how to ID. Perhaps I am using colour wrongly.

I'm not sure where I got that name from, it seemed to fit a year or so back for one I saw... having looked at your image again, your ID does seem to fit better! |
