smaller robber fly ID

Hi all

Struggling to ID this one. Smaller than last week's Dioctria, approx 10mm long. In the garden here in mid-Wales.

Hi Steve that long hind metatarsus reminds me of a male leptarthrus brevirostris, leg colour looks good too. But this insect looks far to dark, not quite right to me. Interesting, I will have a good think.

looking around and asking on Diptera.info, there doesn't seem to be any other species with that exageratedly long and thin rear tarsus so I've put it down as a probable L.brevirostris and will look out for others in the area.
