| | | Beetle identification required Can anyone help with the identification of the following beetle. It was found on 19 April near the coast at Balcary (Dumfries and Galloway) whilst I was photographing some plants. Not a very good image I'm afraid, but it has quite distinctive pitted elytra which may make it possible to ID to species level.
My first post, so hope this works OK.

| | | Re: Beetle identification required Thanks for that, Mick. Ground beetles are very under-recorded in our region so still a useful record even if it is a common species.
