No, it is as Les suggested an Oedemera; I think it's female O. nobilis which lacks the male's chunky thighs.

Agree with you aeshna, female O. nobilis, a pollen feeding beetle found on a wide range of flowers.

Thanks everyone! I thought O. nobilis, but then no thick-knees, and I thought females lacked the shiny green finish. Always something to learn. Thanks, Les.
