Whats this insect found on cliffs at Portland?
Hi,

Came across this insect on top of the cliffs at Portland, near Weymouth. It moved in an interesting way, it walked with the use of its legs whilst also pushing itself along with its abdomen.

Not come across one like this before and am having no luck identifying it from my insect books. It's really bugging me.

Its the larvae of one of the Chrysomelinae a sub-family of the Chrysomelidae (Leaf beetles). Most likely one of the Timarcha species.
