| | | Re: Which insects? The first 2 arehoverflies and, I would say, Eristalini family (going by the wing vein loop). The first one looks like Eristalis tenax or pertinax but they are very variable in colour and, once again, some of the vital items aren't clearly visible.
The second one looks like Eristalis arbustorum but due to the variable colour problem it might also be E. interruptus. But these are both smaller flies than your first specimen. If it was the same size then E. pertinax is just possible again. We really need a good shot of the legs, and if possible the face. |

You can see this from the lower head on which they are standing. I looked back but I do not have clear images of the legs/face.

The damselfly is a female common blue damselfly.
The tachnid is possibly Zophomyia temula
