| | Identify Longhorn Beetle A few of these longhorn beetles (I think) awakening in the flowerheads of oxeye daisy this morning, by the Cliff Path, Sandown Bay.
I'm thinking Leptura fulva..what are you thinking, I wonder..help welcome..thanks for looking..Rob |

I hadn't looked at either of those possibilities before. Take your point on this little fella not having black tips to the elytra. Looking at Strangalia melanura that would seem to have a central black stripe, which mine lacks.
The Pseudovadonia livida looks most similar to me at the mo - including the leg shapes / colours.
Your help much appreciated,

| | | Re: Identify Longhorn Beetle I agree this is Pseudovadonia livida . Strangalia melanura has tapering elytra towards the end of the abdomen, has black tibia and has more pointed corners on the back of the pronotum. Also it tends to have darker elytra. |
