As the title says a male scorpion fly, photographed yesterday, which I have (tentatively) ID'ed as P. germanica.  |

Thanks Jason, I was using a reverse-mounted 50mm lens from about 5cms. (bodged-up contraption in other words  )
charlieb - I based the ID on this, 
not the clearest of shots but as good as I could tweak it.
