| | | Re: Nice looking Bug ID Plz Deraeocoris flavilinea, final instar nymph. It's an invasive species, partly (at least) predatory, but although it's becoming very common as far north as Yorkshire, it doesn't seem to do any real harm. The adults are very attractive things as well. |

| | | Re: Nice looking Bug ID Plz That's a really nice shot Gray - worth checking out at the higher resolution.
I think it's a late instar of Deraeocoris flavilinea but recommend you wait for the experts to give a firm id.

| | | Re: Nice looking Bug ID Plz Blast - Joe beat me to it!
......but at least I wasn't way off beam. Out of interest I arrived at the id on the basis of a recent posting of mine of a very early instar of this same species. Also identified by Joe: Red bug nymph

Good to see the IDs are being absorbed so well, Bruce. Of course, if I was wrong last time as well, it could actually be anything... |

| | | Re: Nice looking Bug ID Plz Joe, Bruce, thank you.
Believe it or not Deraeocoris flavilinea was the closest match i could find in my own search but the pic i found must of been an earlier instar, thanks again.

Even though there is probably 5mm difference in size you can still see the similarities can't you, though i have to say the colour on yours is excellent.
Joe, i can't wait to see the adult
