| | | What is this white spiky thing? I was out looking for galls yesterday and saw this white spiky thing on the underside of a leaf (lime, I think). I'm assuming it is some sort of egg case? | | | Re: What is this white spiky thing? I have those too, I often see them under Camellia leaves. One at the moment is under an oak tree but the Camellia hasn't always been there.
Funnily enough I took a pic of one with a tiny spider near it the same as you have in your pic, but I deleted the pics as I wasn't happy with them! Now I will have to see if I can get more pics  . That must mean the spider has something to do with the egg sac? If it has then it's a big sac for a tiny spider!

I found some of these last year on Oak and a spider expert id'd this spider for me. Sorry about the quality but she was tiny!
