Question gorgeous fly ID
Hello,
is this a soldier fly?
Seen yesterday in deciduous plantation, lots of grass and nettles too with sheep grazing, quite high up in the pennines.

Yep, beautiful, well-marked, too. It's a snipe fly, family Rhagionidae. Not sure which...
