| | Is this A.nitida? These pics from early April show a mining bee in Ferncliff Gardens, Sandown, IoW. In my happy-go-lucky plunder-the-web jump-to-conclusions way I labelled it Andrena nitida.

It looks like it could be Andrena clarkella, but I'm struggling to see any orange hairs on the pollen baskets!  In fact the second pic shows black hairs, so that leads us elsewhere!
Andrena thoracica looks good!
