| | | Can someone please confirm my idenification on these Damselflies Hello everyone.
Last Tuesday I managed to get my first Damselfies of the sesson alone the Grand Western Canal in Devon.
The winter has not helped the grey cells though so could someone please confirm my identification.
Starting with the easy ones
1) Male Common Blue Damselfly.
2) A Male and Female Azure Damselflies. The female is the blue form.
Getting a bit harder
3) A Female Beautiful Demoiselle
How the hard ones
4) This one beats me!
5) Different individual but same as number 4?
Thanks for any insight you can give.

| | | Re: Can someone please confirm my idenification on these Damselflies I think 4 and 5 are immature female Azures, but ideally you need a better shot of the pronotum.
Interestingly, I think 4 might mature to the green form, 5 to the blue. This is pure speculation.

PS
No matter how many shots you take it never seems to be enough.....: |

Not exactly sure where that canal is, but on location alone I'm sticking with what I said. I think your others were correct, by the way.
