Question Black bee for ID
Hello, I wonder if anyone recognises this black bee? Not very good pix I'm afraid. I have been watching these bees visiting Yellow Flag in a marshy area of my local park over the last week and reckon it's a pretty handsome creature - not that I've done it justice here. Would love to know what it's called...thanks for looking...

Hi Rob,

Female Anthophora plumipes. They are a fast mover and difficult to get!

And really rather late in the year for them too. April is peak A. plumipes season
