| | | Re: Black and green fly - looks a bit like a mantis? I don't know how to visually seperate ichneumons fron sawflies... to me, it's a jist-like thing. Deep, curvaceous head, long wings that are wide and overlap perfectly and generally more robust-looking. |

Generally Ichneumon wasps have longer antenna and thin waists. Sawflies have thick waists.
