| | | Re: Yellow-brown glossy beetle 2mm I wonder if they could belong to the genus Stilbus, or at least family Phalacridae - bit of a stab in the dark, really |

| | | Re: Yellow-brown glossy beetle 2mm I think Oxycera is correct. Although ideally we could do with seeing the antenna and legs. Have you still got it? can you get more detailed photo's? There are acouple of other groups that this could potentially be. |

You know me too well... oh sorry, I can't even help with the beetle. I'll leave you with these two experts, but not before saying that I like the photos! What lens are you using?

| | | Re: Yellow-brown glossy beetle 2mm Thanks! I found a pic on Flickr of what someone ID'd as Stilbus testaceus which looks like it.
No Dogg I don't have it nor any more pics, I don't collect, just take my chances! It went AWOL and didn't have the courtesy to show me the antennae or legs.
Oh sorry Jason, lol, I have 3 grown kids so been there. Tsch tsch don't worry....
I'm using the lens I had to sell so much stuff on ebay for! Nikon 105mm macro VR with 2x teleconverter. |

| | | Re: Yellow-brown glossy beetle 2mm If you check the patterning on Stilbus testaceus on this site it does match, even though the pic is darker. Mine is lighter due to the flash but the pattern can just be seen. xewww.kerbtier.de - Übersicht über die Käferfauna Deutschlands | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
