Adult mayfly in town
Have just seen a fantastic large mayfly resting on the window of a mobile phone shop.. it must have had some spare time on its hands. Sheriously, the shop is in Durham, just above the River Wear, so the unfortunate Ephemera was probably floated up there on the wind. A treat for me though.

I saw my first ever Mayfly at the weekend, well 2 actually as they were 'dancing' got some pictures too
