| | | Painted lady influx It appears there has been a great influx of Painted lady butterflies this weekend. Ive seen loads today at my local park, and a conversation with the local recorder revealed there were quite a few at Grove ferry (Kent) yesterday and over a 1000 were recorded at RSPB Rainham today. It may be a record year |

Duncan | On another forum there has been mention of 2 waves of influx; the first being faded + the second fresh looking specimens. All those that I have seen settled today have looked very fresh. |

Earlier in the week I was seeing much 'grottier' specimens.
