Soldier Beetle - but which one?
I think this might be a Soldier Beetle, possibly Cantharis rustica? Can anyone confirm?

The last pic looks like it's just taken a running jump and hoping for the best, all legs outstretched!

Thanks Dogghound. I saw the dot behind it's head, which I think indicates this sp. Nice to get a definitely ID though.
