| | | Bee or Wasp? Identification I took this photo on a walk today near home and I can't identify the insect.

| | | Re: Bee or Wasp? Identification I'm afraid that there are a lot of possibilities and that photo doesn't have enough detail. Even with a really top quality image it can be difficult unless there are several angles to work with.
However, purely as a guess, I would expect it to belong to one of these families: Andrena, Halictus, or Lasioglossum. All are currently commonplace.
